"Op het punt van Aanraken" part II

I promised that i would publish a report of the show i did on 22th of May. The show was an absolutly fantastic experience. To be able to work together with such talented and devoted artists was a privilege. I was really nervous as the show could only be prepared virtually. Francois made a special webpage where we could post our ideas and our work so that we could be inspired with it and where we could brainstorm. We did not have a lot of time to do this as Lara and Francois are from South Africa and they only where in Holland for a short amount of time. Also i had a trip planned to the Domenican Republic where i did not have access to the internet. The day before the show and the day of the show we came together to give the show the final form. And as i sat there, I just knew it would be terrific. I was really really nervous because not only my photos were projected on a screen but i also needed to dance on stage in the three intermezzos. I will explain; the show was devided in three parts and each part was to be announced with an expressive dance which would indicate the different phase of the show. "Op het punt van aanraken" means "on the break of touch". Touching in the meaning of; your art touches me, it inspires me to create great art. Phase I: we are aware of our existence but can not exactly find

Phase II: the actually touching.. wild.. existentialism, inspirational orgasm ,



Phase III: satisfaction, content feeling, the touching has finally took place.


When i was looking at Lara reading here poetry accompanied with Francois music and my photos, i admired her so much. She looked so strong and sexy, so confident.



I knew this was going an experience which i would never forget. And made me thirsty for MORE!!!!



My next project will be an exposition in Antwerp on the 4th of September. Also i am working for the album cover for Duncan Pattersons next album (he is a bandmember from Antimatter). Updates soon!!

Op het punt van Aanraken

i have a show coming up on the 22th of May!! I will be working together with South African artists Ha!man (cello player) and Laura Kirsten (afrikaans performance poet).
It will be such a challenge as it are three different artforms and we only can do the preperations virtually! So the actual show will be very very exciting!
Anyway.. we are combining our different art forms and try to melt it into one. Reaching out to eachother and touching eachother... It will be an audivisual show where we all three will cross our borders.
So if you have time or if you are in the neighbourhood i am urging you to come!!!!!! :D
